Keep an eye out for the vine weevil, it’s dull black and about 1cm long and has a pronounced snout. If you spot one you need to check your house plants for the grubs and remove them before they do uncurable damage. Take the plant out of its pot and check the roots, if you find any grubs then wash the soil off and repot into fresh soil.
